Research has demonstrated that the design of school buildings can have a significant impact on students health, wellbeing, attendance, and learning. It also has an impact on teachers’ recruitment, retention, and sick leave.
Wellbeing is at the heart of St Andrew’s Church School. In order to understand the impact of design on health, wellbeing and learning, the Green Classrooms project assessed the design of the existing school, in collaboration with the Universities of Bath and Bristol, and CaSA Architects.
