Bumble Bees: Bird Feeders and Porridge
What a busy start to the year in Bumble bee class! Each week we have read a different book in Drawing Club and have explored different activities based on each story.
We have enjoyed Pingu, There’s an Ouch in Pouch, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Lost and Found.
We have thought about Winter in different parts of the World and learnt about Australian and arctic animals.
Highlights have been exploring the apparatus in PE, making bird feeders, making porridge, growing and eating cress, and learning about length and measure in Maths.
Several Bumble Bees were lucky to enjoy a story with a very patient visiting labrador.

We made porridge and then tried it with cinnamon. Delicious!

We learnt the names of some common British birds and then made bird feeders out of pine cones, fat and seeds.

It has been lovely to see the children developing their block play, and creativity. They have built igloos for Pingu, zoos for the three bears and houses and castles for Goldilocks.

We were said to say goodbye to our Bath Spa Teacher, Destinee and wish her all the best in her new school. Here she is with the wonderful penguins the children made out of paper.
