Ladybirds: Knots, Numbers & Shops

For the past few weeks we have been working on fine motor skills in Ladybirds. We have been sitting in a class c circle, tying and untying knots. We have been practising patience and helping each other! It’s a great feeling to succeed at tying a knot after many attempts.

The children have also been learning their door numbers and making a door sign with stickers for them to take home.

The hot weather inspired us to open an ice cream shop, which has since changed to a cake shop! The Ladybirds have been enjoying imaginative play, ‘baking’ cakes with dry oats and pasta.
