Year 1: Easter Activities & Plasticine
Year 1 have had a fantastic second half of the term. We have been learning about the Easter story and creating lots of beautiful Easter artwork and cards. The children particularly enjoyed learning the song ‘1, 2, 3, Jesus is Alive’, which they performed brilliantly with energetic actions at the Easter Church service.
Thank you to all the parents who helped walk the children to the church- your support is greatly appreciated.
In class, we have also been exploring the story The Snail and the Whale. As part of this, the children made their own plasticine snails, linking to our History learning about William Harbutt, who lived in Bath and invented plasticine.
I wish you all a restful Easter break. We are looking forward to our Forest School trip when we return after the holidays.
