Year 2: Outdoor Learning & Recorder Playing

Y2 enjoyed a creative and exciting summer term! Through the heatwave and the changes, they have been amazing.

In Maths, the children embraced some more outdoor learning with fractions, and built on our practical fraction work in class. In Science, we sadly watched our cress wilt in the heatwave (a learning point nonetheless!). Sports Day was a highlight for many, showing teamwork as well competitive spirit. The children practised and played recorders and learned to play tunes as a class. Caroline Herschel and her achievements have been discussed and celebrated –  topped off with a trip to the Herschel Museum last week which left many children in awe. Well done to our Y2s!
