Year 2: Science and Sport

This week, Year 2 have had great fun learning about everyday materials in Science. They have been learning and building a bank of vocabulary including learning the definition of the words transparent and opaque. They have also been developing their skills as scientists and have been identifying and classifying materials in a Venn diagram.

On Wednesday, the class were excited to join the Oldfield Winter Festival and enjoyed taking part in a variety of multi-sports activities led by the Oldfield students.  As well as this, the class have been writing poetry in response to their class text, Winter Sleep, A Hibernation story and learning all about money in Maths.
