Year 2: Watercolours & Djembe

Year 2 have had a wonderful start to the term.  We have been busy practising watercolour techniques and experimenting with adding salt to create interesting textured effects. The children have been learning about the Epiphany story and used their new skills to produce some outstanding artwork.

We also enjoyed our first lesson of Djembe drumming this week. The children have learned three different drum strokes and are practising keeping in time together. It’s noisy but great fun, and we are really looking forward to performing towards the end of the term!
