Year 4: Cricket, African fashion and Electricity

Its been a sunshiny start to the term for Year 4. We’ve been having lots of fun playing cricket in PE and have been learning how to bowl correctly, bat and field the balls that have been flying around the playground. Alongside this, we’ve mixed up the classes for Our World Reimagined project and started learning about African textiles, hairstyles, and fashion. There have been some fantastic discussions around what cultural appropriation is and how textiles, fashion and hair are steeped in African history and culture. Back in the Year 4 classroom, we started our learning on Electricity and had great fun creating a human circuit with a circuit stick.
