Year 4 go to Jamie Oliver’s

Year 4 have been on a trip to Jamie Oliver’s restaurant in Bath as part of his ‘Food Revolution’ project. The children looked at the sugar content of popular cereals before making their own, did a ‘food group’ quiz, and had a tour of the restaurant – including behind the scenes (kitchens, walk in fridges etc). They even had a cheesy omelette for a late breakfast.

The children were very pleased with their free water bottles and the fact that they could take home a goodie bag which included the cereal they’d made, fresh pasta, a recipe pamphlet and a badge!

Mrs Shoubridge was very impressed with their knowledge of food as well as their beautiful manners whilst eating omelettes and when asking for more/less!

The photos below show Year 4 preparing their own cereal, identifying vegetables, meeting the chef, exploring the walk-in fridge and tucking into their omelettes.
