Year 4: Newspaper reports

Over the last 2 weeks, the children in Year 4 have produced two incredible pieces of non-fiction writing in different forms. The first was a newspaper report all about our trip to the Ancient Technology Centre. They created headlines, included quotes perfectly punctuated with direct speech and wrote about the events in chronological order. The second piece of written work was a non-chronological report on the Vikings. They research Viking life and added all their research to an online padlet, planned, drafted and published their reports which in some cases were more than 4 pages long.  They were packed full of factual information and topic-related vocabulary.
