Year 4: Poetry & Illustration

Recently, our talented Year 4 children have been exploring the emotional journey of Edward Tulane through poetry. Stepping into Edward’s shoes, they have written powerful and imaginative poems that beautifully capture his thoughts and feelings. Using a rich range of poetic features – including similes, metaphors, repetition, and emotive language – their work has been both moving and creative. We are incredibly proud of the empathy and expression they’ve shown in their writing. The children even illustrated these poems, and you can see by the photos that they are talented artists, too!
