Year 5 Science: Living things and their Habitats

In Year 5, the children have been learning about reproduction in flowering plants, including asexual reproduction. Initially, the class explored parts of a flower, dissecting tulips so that they could see a real life example of each part.

The children arranged the flower parts onto a dissection map which helped them to identify and visualise each part. They also enjoyed using the magnifying glasses to get a closer view!
