Year 6: Ancient Greek Mythology

Year 6 have been exploring mixed media art, as well as Ancient Greek mythology. We have enjoyed reading the book Mythologica, and have admired the artwork of Victoria Topping. So, we developed our own motifs, using acrylic paint and photocopy techniques, in order to use them as collage. We then used digital tools to enhance photos of ourselves, before printing and adding more acrylic paint and collaging our motifs. Some of our art had meaning, whilst some of it was abstract. The colours and patterns really began to pop, and we can’t wait to finish them!
