Year 6: Art and R.E

Year 6 have been getting their hands dirty with clay. As part of our spring art project, we have been learning about shape and form and texture, as well as refining our skills in moulding, etching and adjoining clay. Our focus artist is Grayson Perry, and we have explored his idea that ‘artists notice stuff’, in order to create our own small Grayson-inspired pieces. We have pots about the future of the human race, pots about our personal identities, and pots about social groups or trends. Excellent creativity all round from Year 6!
In R.E. We have been studying old paintings depicting moments for Jesus’ life, and linking them to Christian concepts such as Salvation, Hope and Resurrection.
