Year 2: Books, music and sports!

Wow! What a year it has been, and it seems to have gone in a flash.

As I look around the classroom in the final few days, there are definitely a lot less teeth, huge growth spurts and children that are as eager, and interested in their learning as they were when they first walked into Year 2. There have been lots of school trips to amazing museums across Bath, as well as trips to the Bath Literature Festival, Forest of Imagination and the Oldfield Sports Festival. We’ve shared some incredible books and fronted the best Nativity performance yet! There have been weekly music lessons which culminated in a fantastic courtyard performance to parents and two fantastic forest school sessions in the sunshine with Holly. But it’s not over quite yet…we’ve still got time to research and write a fact file about Brazil and fit in a little sewing project in the final week.

Year 2 – you are joyful.

Thank you for being my first Year 2 class ever and I know that you can’t fail to impress your Year 3 teaching team.

Have an incredible summer holiday, Mrs Weaver.
