Bumble Bees: Mark-Making and Cutting Skills

It has been a busy couple of weeks in Reception. We have noticed a fascination with joining pieces of paper together so we gave them scissors tape, glue and stapler so that they could pursue this interest. We were amazed at Leo’s 3d box which he built with paper and masking tape.

The children have also wanted to make their own lanyards; this involved them using their cutting and mark-making skills. They also learnt how to use a hole punch and practised threading pieces of ribbon through a small hole.
