Governor News – May 2023

Governors have recently been working alongside Mrs Jayne and Mrs Tam to develop our approach to ‘pupil voice‘. We have developed together a series of questions designed to find out more about the pupils’ experiences at school.

The questions cover a range of topics, including learning and safeguarding. Some of the Governors have already been involved trialling this approach to pupil voice by visiting the school and talking with pupils. In the coming weeks, all Governors will be trained on how to hold safe and helpful conversations so that they can hear from the pupils in an appropriate way. We hope, in future, to put the voice of the children at the very heart of our approach to Governor oversight, as we seek to learn more about what it feels like to be a child in our fantastic school.
