STEAM Week Highlights
The children had many opportunities in class for hands-on science based activities and on Thursday 17th March there was an all day carousel of activities. The children were re-grouped into eight ‘new’ classes (Y1-Y6) and enjoyed a science fair in the hall, space poetry, optical illusions, clay aliens, creating structures and models, creating animations… and more.
There was a special assembly at the end of the day which celebrated science, technology, engineering, arts and maths. The children also sang the ‘To The Stars’ song they have been learning!
A huge thank you to all the parents who volunteered to come in and help on Thursday and a particular thank you to Angie and Tamsin who had organised so much for the day. It was a great success!
