Ladybirds: Diwali Festival of Light

The Nursery children have been busy learning about and celebrating Diwali: The Festival of Light. We read the story “Binny’s Diwali” to help us understand ways to celebrate Diwali and have made our own salt dough Diya lamps and painted them, and also decorated individual rangoli patterns using colourful rice!  The children have shown great curiosity and enthusiasm learning about the Hindu culture which has been wonderful to see and they are already looking forward to celebrating and learning about more festivals from around the world. Great job Ladybirds!
