Year 2: Masks, Charts and Storytelling

This week, the class have been continuing with their project with the Artists Network Development. They have continued to create masks and objects inspired by the outdoors and begun to co-create stories in small groups that are both spoken and acted.

In RE, Year 2 have been learning about Judaism and Jews’ special relationship with God. The children created their own Mezuzah and learnt about the Shema prayer that is housed inside.

In English, the children have created their own version of the story, Jim and the Beanstalk, while in Maths they have been learning all about tally charts, block diagrams and pictograms. What a lot of hard work there has been this term in Year 2.
