Remembrance Day Collective Worship – 11th November 2022

The school came together for Remembrance Day with a focus on the symbolic significance of the poppy. We reflected on the poppy as a symbol of remembrance, compassion and hope. 

The children then discussed ‘What words can we think of when we think of remembrance?’ We then created our own poppies and wreath. The worship finished with a prayer read by 2 year 5 children:

Children you can do your part, ​

Love each other is how you start,​

Play without fighting,​

Share your games and toys,​

Be kind and thoughtful,​

To all in our community. ​
