St Andrew’s Church School in Britain in Bloom with Bath in Bloom and RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood

Our Working Bee at the end of May marked the start of our ‘focused’ gardening in preparation for RHS Britain in Bloom 2022 and RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood (IYN) scheme (with our project at Phoenix house).

After winning gold in last year’s Southwest in Bloom competition, Bath has been chosen to represent the Southwest of England in the RHS Britain in Bloom 2022, and we are really honoured to have been invited again by Bath In Bloom (BIB) to be part of the judging tour that will take place at the end of July.

BIB kindly donated St Andrew’s some funds to support our gardening work, and part will be used to expand our bee-friendly area and create a lovely herb garden in a vintage sink at the back of the Year 3 classroom.

Work is already in progress, and our lovely neighbours The Urban Garden are helping us with choosing the best plants for the job and by giving us lots of top tips, so watch this space!
