The ‘New’ Library

It was with great excitement that we were able to relaunch and open our wonderful Library this week! Every class visited for an induction meeting and will now have weekly visits to browse and borrow from the extraordinary collection of fiction and non-fiction books we are so fortunate to have. The new books have been bought using the money from generous donations and successful grant applications. We think we (probably) have the best library in the whole of Bath!
Several children from Years 4-6 applied for the role of School Librarian and we now have a group of children who will take on some of the responsibility for organising and cataloguing books as well as coming up with exciting new ideas to engage the whole school in our super library. In addition, children in the other classes will have class Library Ambassadors.
If your child brings a book home that they have borrowed from the school (it will have a ‘St Andrew’s Church School’ stamp on the inside cover), please support them to look after it carefully (we talk at school about gentle hands and that books are like special treasure) and return it each week.
We really hope that you enjoy spending time as a family sharing some new books together!
