Year 1: Jellyfish and Play Days

Year 1 are really enjoying the new English unit exploring The Lonely Beast by Chris Judge. We have written diary entries as the Beast, interviewed a resident from the story as well as create artwork inspired by the jelly fish scene. We loved watching videos of jellyfish and listening to calming music while creating our artwork.

Last week for the International Day of Play, we had so much fun playing with Year 6 and having a board game afternoon. Year 1 loved buddying up with another class and exploring play in different ways. They got to do yoga, playground games, art, roleplay and ball games. In the classroom, it was lovely to teach each other new games.
