Year 2: Bath Abbey and so much more…

Year 2 have had a fun-filled few weeks at school with a visit from Yousuf’s parents to share their experiences of Ramadan and a visit to Bath Abbey for an immersive experience learning about the stations of the cross. In school, the children have had a wonderful time designing and building bug hotels which we will put in the forest school area. The children thought really hard about what habitats insects liked to live in and created bug hotels which had lots of dark, damp, small spaces for insects to hide. They also made their own insects out of clay which they are painting to bring home at the end of term. As well as all that, they have been retelling and innovating the story of Jim and the Giant in English and learning all about unit and non-unit fractions in maths.  What a busy term it has been for Year 2. Here’s to a restful Easter break and I cannot wait to see you next term.
