Year 2: Exploring our Neighbourhood

This week, Year 2 have ventured outside of the classroom for a walk around the local area.  Armed with clipboards and paper, the class sketched maps of the local area. We identified road names and what shops and services are available close to school. The class were also able to observe the shape and architecture of the buildings and we discussed how the use of different buildings have changed over time.

We’ve also had fun preparing for our Harvest celebration and together the children created a harvest loaf which we shared at our whole school assembly.
