Year 2: Kindness and Learning

What a wonderful fortnight it has been. Year 2 have continued to show their talent for Maths and have been comparing and ordering numbers using the vocabulary and symbols for greater than, less than and equal to.

In English, we are continuing to be inspired by the book, Orion and the Dark, and the children have spent time researching space in preparation for writing a fact file. In RE, the class learnt about the event of the Paralysed Man and how this teaches Christians to show kindness to others.

The class ended the week with a fabulous trip to the Bath Literature Festival at the Assembly Rooms to hear Tom McLaughlin talk about his book The Book Who Painted the World  and got to take the book home to read and enjoy. What a perfect end to the week!
