Year 2: Nature and the Seasons

The term is flying by and Year 2 have been exploring lots of different areas of the curriculum. They have enjoyed three wonderful forest school sessions with Holly observing the changing seasons, exploring the forest school area and creating clay models inspired by nature. In PE, the class have had another PE coach come in to teach ball skills and have built up to having small competitive games inspired by the principles of netball.

In History, the class have been learning about communication over time and have been thinking about the chronology of different methods of communication as well as learning all about different methods of communication such as telegrams and carrier pigeons and the important role that carrier pigeons played in World War One.

Nativity rehearsals are also in full swing and the class cannot wait to share their performance with parents and the whole school.
