Year 2 – Science and more !

Our fabulous Year 2 class have had a fantastic start to the year.  They have produced detailed recounts of a favourite moment during the summer holidays, learnt all about life cycles in Science and interviewed a parent about how to look after a growing baby.  They have learnt about proportion in Art and produced some beautiful self-portraits which they then used to create Cubist collage portraits inspired by Pablo Picasso.  Alongside this, the class have been developing their map reading skills and have learnt the 4 points on a compass, studied maps of Bath and practised reading simple grid coordinates.  A super start to an exciting year of learning!
