Year 2: Self-portraits and Djembe drumming

What an incredible start to the term, we have had in Year 2.  The class have worked hard to create beautiful self-portraits using bright colours inspired by Pablo Picasso.  The children have also been having lots of fun in their weekly Djembe lessons and been learning all about different rhythms as well as learning to play together as a group.  The children have enjoyed rediscovering the library and have had great fun reading their reading books to the Reading Dog, Jamie that visits our school.  Alongside all this, we’ve managed to fit in lots of wonderful writing inspired by our class book Orion and the Dark and been working hard in Maths to count in 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s. What an enthusiastic class you all are. Well done Year 2.
