Year 3: Trip to Ancient Technology Centre

Year 3 braved the rain at the Ancient Technology Centre in Dorset to learn all about the Romans! We visited the Roman Earth House and watched a fire making demonstration before taking part in a series of activities. First, we needed to use loppers and a 2 person saw to chop firewood, to keep the Earth House warm! We also helped to construct fences using Hazel wood (which was quite bendy!) and learned how the Romans could have made rope out of reeds by weaving. Lots of learning and lots of fun! Well done Year 3!
