Year 3’s Roman Shields and Rocks

In Year 3, we have enjoyed designing and creating our own Roman shields. We also learned and performed a Roman dance, using our shields as props in PE! We were so proud of how final designs looked!

In Science, we have started our learning on rocks and fossils. We learned about the 3 different types of rocks: igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. We used sweets to create an edible rock cycle and investigated the properties of some real rocks. We were amazed to find out that an igneous rock called Pumice floats!
