Year 4: Autumn, Quad Kids, Forest School and Teeth!

Year 4 have had a busy week! On Monday the Kilter Theatre came to visit. The children looked for signs of Autumn with the character ‘October’. They used the objects they found to create an autumn spell. Kilter Theatre will be down at Kensington Meadows on Sunday 23rd October at 5pm. See more on this here. All children and their families at St Andrews are welcome.

On Tuesday Year 4 took part in Quad Kids on the Royal Crescent Lawn. They all showed great resilience and determination when participating in the different activities.

On Wednesday they all spent the afternoon at Forest Schools. They independently explored the environment, pond dipping, making resources from sticks and creating clay models. There was also some very imaginative role-play involving the Hobgobs.

On Thursday, the class enjoyed a visit from local dentist, Alice. Alice taught the children about the importance of brushing and taking care of their teeth. We loved using the giant dentist equipment!

Year 4 also took on the role of reporters this week. They interviewed witnesses who had met Edward Tulane (The Miraculous adventure of Edward Tulane) and wrote down quotes for their newspaper article.
