Year 5 & 6: Online Safety

Year 5 and Year 6 were paid a visit by an online safety expert from Avon and somerset Police. The children were given opportunities to share and discuss ways in which the internet can be used. There was plenty to learn – from age requirements for apps and games, to some surprising facts about how social media apps store and share your data if you do not have the correct settings in place. We continued our talks in class as part of Internet Safety Week.

Internet safety and cyberbullying are issues that we take very seriously as a school. We strongly encourage you to take an active role in supporting your child to understand the impact of their actions online, whilst helping them to maintain a healthy balanced approach towards gaming, exercising and education.
