Year 5: Mud Slides
The Y5 class have been enjoying extending their learning to the outdoor environment. We went up to the school’s conservation area over the last two weeks. They made nature journals (inspired by our class text: The Midnight Fox), but perhaps, some of the most fun was playing in the mud!
Some children created a mud sledge ramp, which they ‘tobogganed’ down on a large plastic tub lid! How creative! Looking at the lichen was interesting, and creating habitats for both real, and toy animals! – over all, the children found an unbelievable number of ways to engage and explore the environment and use their imaginations.
