Year 5: Science

Children in Year 5 are starting a science unit all about Living things and their Habitats. We started off by revising the life cycle of plants, dissecting a flower to identify its parts, and most excitingly, using a microscope to look at the cells in a leaf! Here, you can see the children enjoying this, and a photo taken down the barrel of the microscope!

We also looked at a petal from the flower we dissected, and a honeybee’s leg that was covered in pollen.
