Year 6: Class Assembly & Dance

Year 6 have had a very positive start to the new year. During their first week, they collaborated beautifully to put together a class assembly based on our value: courage. Using their own reflections, as well as a poem/picture book called I am Courage, the class put together a movement piece containing a variety of dance styles as well as gymnastics.

In addition, the class buddied up with Year 3 and mentored them with their first P.E. lesson objective (Dance). They even created their own lesson plans! The children helped to mentor Year 3 in using their bodies to create musically expressive sequences of moves.
