Year 4: Sports & Cuban Art

Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day on the Royal Crescent, demonstrating excellent resilience, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the event. The children eagerly took part in a range of activities, including the 100m sprint, shot put, baton relay and egg-and-spoon race, always encouraging one another to do their very best. Whether competing individually or as part of a team, they showed determination, perseverance and a positive attitude from start to finish. Parents and members of the wider community cheered on the children, creating a wonderful atmosphere of celebration and support. It was a memorable day that showcased not only the pupils’ athletic achievements but also their outstanding character and team spirit.

Year 4 spent a wonderful afternoon at Roseberry Art Studios where they had a guided tour of the Cubans by Cubans photography exhibition. They learnt a lot about Cuba and Cuban people and Year 4 had lots of questions! They also had the opportunity to create self portraits and portraits of others using different media.
