Year 1: Wild and Free

Year 1 have had a fantastic few weeks starting our ‘Wild and Free’ topic. The children have loved learning about Bog Baby for English and have enjoyed writing about their own Bog Babies- we even set them free!

In Science, we have been learning all about plants to link with our Wild theme. The children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring different plants and creating some beautiful plant inspired artwork.

This term also began with our Forest School trip to Kingswood. The woodland setting felt truly magical, and the children loved the opportunity to explore and enjoy the outdoors. The children showed fantastic teamwork throughout the day, from building dens to digging for treasure. We had such a wonderful time together. A huge thank you to Holly and to all the parents who joined and helped make the trip possible.
