Year 2: Teamwork & Outdoor Learning
Year 2 have been developing their teamwork and collaboration skills in P.E. whilst keeping active and having fun. The children have been practising taking turns, listening carefully, working with different partners and teams, and encouraging one another to be the best they can be. They have particularly enjoyed using rackets and hoops, as well as taking part in hockey dribbling, basketball, football, throwing and catching activities — and much more besides!
Mr Tom has been very impressed with the children’s enthusiasm and effort, and we are delighted that he will continue teaching Year 2 for one lesson each week next term. We are certain Year 2 will be shining brightly on Sports Day this year!
Learning has not stayed inside the classroom either! Science and Maths lessons have taken us outdoors several times this term, where the children have loved exploring, observing and measuring the world around them through practical, hands-on activities. From investigating carefully to measuring with increasing confidence, the children have shown great curiosity in their outdoor learning.
